About Olive / Bio

Olive Esler hails from Ardrahan Co. Galway and is currently the television presenter of the Triton Showers National Rally Championship and the Valvoline National Forestry Championship, which is airing on TG4, Setanta Sports, BT Sports, Motors TV and Irish TV.

The rally championships have brought Olive all around the country in recent years where she has been reporting from the stages and interviewing the championship drivers.

Equally at home behind the camera Olive spent two years as the celebrity guest booker and researcher on The Seven O’Clock Show on TV3 presented by Martin King and Lucy Kennedy.

2016 saw Olive move to RTE’s Today Show with Maura Derrane and Daithi O’Se, where she continues to book celebrity guests and research for the show.

Olive has been working in production and presenting since completing her honours degree in Communications and specialising in video production at DCU in 2006. With ten years of production and presenting experience with City Channel Television, RTE and TV3 under her belt she is certainly one to watch in the industry.

To add another string to Olive’s bow, she was a champion Irish Dancer in her day and toured the world at 18 during her time with two of Ireland’s renowned Irish Dance troupes – the National Dance Company of Ireland – Rhythm of the Dance and Dance of Desire. With a continued passion for Irish Dance, Olive is currently studying to become a qualified Irish Dancing Teacher with An Comhdhail TCRG.

Olive is married and currently living in Dublin.
